Matt Freese: The Calm In The Chaos
Big moments don’t seem to speed him up, they sharpen his focus. Instead of chasing a highlight, he prioritises the next action, which stops pressure from rolling into panic.
You’ll see brave positioning when balls get clipped behind the line and firm handling when the box turns crowded. His communication also keeps defenders connected, so gaps don’t appear between phases. Over a long season, that steadiness turns nervy spells into manageable ones, and those are the minutes that decide points.
