MLS Standings 2026: Full Table, Points and Conference Rankings
The 2026 MLS season is six matchdays in, and the early standings are already producing surprises. Los Angeles FC are the only unbeaten team in the league, Philadelphia Union have yet to pick up a single point, and San Jose Earthquakes have emerged as unlikely pace-setters in the West. Here is where every club stands and the full rankings so far this season.
MLS Eastern Conference standings 2026
Nashville SC lead the East after six matches, with a squad built around a high-powered attack and one of the more consistent defensive records in the conference. New York City FC, Charlotte FC and Inter Miami are all level on 11 points and separated only by tiebreakers.
The reigning MLS Cup champions, Inter Miami, have started without the kind of dominant form their squad suggested they were capable of, though they have won more than they’ve lost and remain in a strong early position.
The bottom of the table is led by Philadelphia Union, the reigning Supporters' Shield holders, who have lost all six of their opening games and sit on zero points.

MLS Western Conference standings 2026
LAFC lead the Western Conference and the entire league, having won five and drawn one of their opening six games. They are the only team yet to concede a goal this season, and their 6-0 demolition of Orlando City in Matchday 6 continued what has been the most dominant start to a season in league history.

The current playoff picture and who is in contention
Nine clubs from each conference will qualify for the MLS Cup Playoffs, which begin in November once the regular season concludes. The World Cup break from May 25 to July 16 will interrupt the season midway through, giving the current standings an even more provisional quality than usual.
The Eastern Conference ninth-place line is tight. New England sit there on 6 points but FC Cincinnati are just a point behind in tenth. The gap between fifth and ninth in the East is only 4 points, meaning the first quarter of the season has barely separated the middle of the table. The top three in the West are clearer, with LAFC, Vancouver and San Jose all looking like genuine contenders based on early form.
